Dam-Funk @ Bowery Ballroom

dam-funk

This appearance marked Dam-Funk’s first performance with a live band in NYC (according to PBW), and the “ambassador of boogie funk” turned the Bowery Ballroom into his very own Funkmosphere. Lazer lights, electronic voices, synthesizers and the chronic smoke-filled air all intensified the energy, the aura, that Dam-Funk projected single-handedly through is performance.

Prior to his performance, Peanut Butter Wolf struck first with his retro soul and funk video set that had the crowd awe inspired by a combination of cheesiness of vintage music video footage and the soulful music that accompanied them. There’s no denying that artists back then showed more artistry and captivation in their performances than they do now.
